A year-over-year decrease in the industry's unemployment rate speaks to strong growth in activity across the country as work continues on projects of all types and sizes in all regions. 

The current list includes properties in 28 municipalities in seven provinces but will grow over time through an ongoing review of underused or vacant federal land and buildings.

Tariffs on Chinese-made steel and aluminum products will go to 25 per cent on Oct. 15, with a final list of which products will be affected expected Oct. 1.

The city will use the funding to replace 175 metres of sanitary sewers under the Thames River and build new wastewater shafts.

There will be some exceptions to the rules for specific sectors, such as health care and construction.
