CNL is exploring the potential to connect to a SMR proposed for construction at the Chalk River site so it can use the clean energy from the reactor to further offset its carbon footprint.

For this fiscal year, the province is expected to end 2023-24 with a $3-billion deficit, an improvement from the $4.5 billion expectation Bethlenfalvy had just a month ago when he presented the third quarter finances.

The library is anticipated to be the first stand-alone library in Canada to achieve the Canada Green Building Council’s Zero Carbon Building – Design Standard certification.
