The west coast builder and green construction technology start up has become the fastest company in Canadian history to achieve a $1-billion valuation.

It’s not yet known for whom the firm has acquired the park, but the mix of building on the site, and its proximity to Highway 401 make it an ideal development opportunity.

Council made the announcement last month, while also approving a partnership with Conestoga College that would provide $1.5 million towards the project.

The project is an important component of expanding GO rail service across the GTHA, and delivering two-day all-day service along the route.
