One in three opioid-related deaths among employed people in Ontario in 2020 was in the construction sector. With opioid use increasing yearly, and drugs thousands of times stronger than they were even 10 years ago, lives can be saved with the inclusion of free, easy-to-use naloxone nasal spray kits on jobsites.
Inquiries opened into three construction deaths
The deaths date as far back as 20 years, and will look at the circumstances surrounding incidents on sites in Toronto, Ottawa and Perth.
