Built in Nova Scotia, a 340-tonne bridge that will be used as part of the Port Lands Flood Protection project was shipped down the St. Lawrence Seaway to Toronto in a matter of a week.

The 265,000-square foot building is one of the largest Passive House projects under construction in North America. Once complete, it will consume 40 to 60 percent less energy than a conventional building.

Frank Bruni assumes the role, and has worked with the company in various capacities and on several high-profile projects.

Statistics Canada recently released the findings of the 2018 edition of Canada’s Core Public Infrastructure Survey. The data shows a network of roads that spans more than one million kilometres, and which is increasing at an average annual rate of 24,000 kilometres.

The nearly $26 million worth of permits issued by the City of Windsor in October were down from the sky-high total issued a month pervious, and put construction activity for the year to date back ahead of the pace set last year.
