York1 acquires ACES Waste Management
York1, a Toronto-based provider of environmental and infrastructure services, announced on January 5 that it has acquired Muskoka-based ACES Waste Management.
The acquisition enables York1 to penetrate into new markets.
ACES is one of the leading waste management service companies in the Muskoka, Parry Sound and Haliburton areas. The company, which was founded in 1972, specializes in waste diversion with a particular focus on the construction industry.
York1, meanwhile, is one of North America's oldest environmental and infrastructure companies, and provides waste management, recycling, demolition, shoring and foundations services across a wide range of Toronto-area municipalities and construction projects.
"We continue to deliver on our goal of pursuing strategic acquisitions and are excited to have the opportunity to grow our environmental business with the addition of the ACES team and service portfolio,” said York1 president Brian Brunetti.
"ACES is looking forward to joining the York1 team that shares the same values in building trusted relationships focussed on customer service,” said ACES president Nick Andrews. “We are proud of the success we have accomplished over the years and are excited for the future with York1.”
The merger will enable York1 to offer environmental and infrastructure customers an integrated service portfolio consisting of waste management, demolition, excavation, shoring and foundations, hydrovac excavation, underground services, directional drilling and construction services.
