EllisDon pre-qualifies for latest THP P3
EllisDon is the only entity to pre-qualify to work on the latest public-private partnership project for Trillium Health Partners (THP).
THP and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) announced on October 4 that they have issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the Trillium Health Partners Broader Redevelopment Project – The Future Home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre.
In the same announcement, the organizations identified EllisDon Corporation as the only firm to be prequalified. The project’s request for qualifications (RFQ) process began last October, and selection criteria for the RFQ included the required construction experience and financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity.
The EllisDon team has been invited to respond to the RFP. IO and THP will review their proposal and, if successful, negotiate the terms for a contract. That is anticipated to happen in the third quarter of next year.
A fairness monitor is overseeing the entire procurement process.
The Trillium Health Partners Broader Redevelopment Project – The Future Home of The Gilgan Family Queensway Health Centre aims to create a modern, dedicated centre for complex care and rehabilitation services.
The project will include the construction of a new patient tower, parkade and Central Utility Plant and redevelopment of other facilities required for the hospital. It is a separate procurement to The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, for which EllisDon was also shortlisted alongside proposal partners PCL.
IO’s latest market update document values the project at between $500 million and $1 billion.
