Ontario employers can now pay their Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) premiums through the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) website.

The organizations announced the change on July 4.

Companies with a business number can report their insurable earnings and make WSIB account payments through their CRA My Business Account using pre-authorized debit.

The WSIB says the new option makes it easier for businesses to manage their WSIB payments online.

"We're always looking for ways to make it easier for people to do business with us,” said WSIB President and CEO Jeffery Lang. “This new service with the CRA is a convenient option for business owners to take care of their WSIB account and file their business taxes in one user-friendly spot. It's another example of how we're making it easier than ever for businesses to manage their account online."

The WSIB is one of the largest insurance organizations in North America, covering over five million people in more than 300,000 workplaces across Ontario.
