Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Quinte Health have invited four pre-qualified companies to respond to a request for proposals to deliver the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital site redevelopment project.

The companies are Ledcor Construction Limited, Sullivan & Son Limited, Pomerleau Inc., and Quinte Care Partners. They were each named to the project shortlist in August.

The companies will now begin preparing proposals that detail how they will deliver the project. Once submissions are received, Infrastructure Ontario and Quinte Health will evaluate the proposals, select a preferred company and then negotiate a final contract. The successful company is expected to be announced in mid-2024.

The new Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital will be a leading-edge health care facility designed to meet the current and future capacity needs of the local community.

The project includes the construction of a new hospital with improved equipment and facilities including a 24-hour emergency department, helipad, surgical suite, dialysis unit and other specializations.

IO’s March 2023 P3 Market Update document values the project at less than $200 million.
