Arcadis named lead architect for four-tower Ottawa development
Arcadis has been named the lead architect on a project to build a four-tower development in Ottawa.
The company will design Turn Group Ltd.’s mixed-use development at 299 Carling Avenue in the city’s west end.
Situated in Ottawa’s Little Italy neighbourhood, the project will deliver approximately 750 residential units and over 600,000 square feet of mixed-use space.
The land, formerly owned by Canada Lands Company, will be redeveloped to include four towers, ranging from 13 to 30 storeys, within a few steps of the O-Train light rail line. Arcadis will also deliver civil, traffic, and planning services to the project.
“This project represents the best of what Arcadis’ integrated cross-country design teams can deliver,” said Scott Arbuckle, Canada Country Director at Arcadis. “From client engagement and advisory services to architectural design and civil engineering, our teams nationwide are committed to shaping a development that is functional, sustainable, and attuned to Ottawa’s urban fabric and unique character.”
Arcadis will serve as the lead architect and consultant on the development, overseeing all design deliverables, including architecture, interior design, building information modeling services, and landscape architecture.
“We’re excited to share 299 Carling Avenue, a bold new mixed‑use community set to transform Ottawa’s west end. The project will bring 750+ new homes across four striking towers, all connected to vibrant retail and office space that will energize the neighbourhood,” said Ash Mahmoud, CEO, Turn Group Ltd.
