IO June update lists 24 projects worth $25B
Infrastructure Ontario (IO) released its June 2026 Market Update last week, with 24 projects currently in the pre‑procurement and active procurement stages, representing a combined design and construction value of more than $25 billion.
The report also includes 19 government‑announced projects that are in the early planning phase. It also includes updated information on the Capital Repair Program pipeline for the province’s land and building assets, as well as new details for the Transit-Oriented Communities Program.
“This update builds on our track record and reinforces the government’s historic investment of $236 billion, the most ambitious capital plan in the province’s history,” said IO President and CEO Angela Clayton. These projects play a critical role in building and modernizing public infrastructure to help protect Ontario’s communities and strengthen the economy.”
Two projects are new to this edition of the report: the Ontario Provincial Police Detachment and Ontario Place Administrative & Maintenance Complex, which is valued at less than $200 million, and the University Health Network Proton Beam Therapy Facility, which has yet to be assigned a value.
Two others have reached substantial completion: Finch West LRT and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
Three have achieved contract execution: the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Redevelopment Project, the New Ontario Science Centre Facility, and the Ontario Place Redevelopment Parking Structure.
Three others have moved from pre-procurement to active procurement: the Oak Valley Healthcare – Uxbridge Redevelopment, the Windsor Regional Hospital – Fancsy Family Hospital Project: Contract 1 Diagnostic and Treatment Block, and the Brockville Correctional Complex / St. Lawrence Valley Correctional and Treatment Centre.
The update is available on IO’s website.
