EnerQuest announces expansion of Harrow manufacturing facility
Manufacturer EnerQuest Technologies Solutions Inc. has announced it will spend nearly $15.8 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Harrow and reshore the production of switchgears from the United States.
The project, which is expected to create 125 new jobs in the region, is being backed by an investment of $1.5 million from the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund stream of the Ontario government’s Regional Development Program.
“EnerQuest’s expansion speaks not only to the resilience of Ontario’s manufacturing sector, but to the reliability of our workforce and the power of partnership,” said Vic Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade. “Through the Regional Development Program, our government is proud to support a company who is driving forward regional economic priorities and strengthening domestic supply chains through the reshoring of their operations.”
EnerQuest is a custom manufacturer of prefabricated electrical equipment. Its planned expansion will bring the company’s switchgear sub-assembly manufacturing in-house to their Harrow facility, reducing reliance on a U.S.-based sister facility.
The company says the move will enable it to better meet demands for critical data centre infrastructure, modular housing, and medical units.
