Two bids received for Bowmanville Hospital project

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) says it has received two proposals for the Lakeridge Health - Bowmanville Hospital Redevelopment Project.

Bowmanville Health Partners and PCL Partnerships were shortlisted to bid on the project last September. Both submitted formal bids for the work last week.

Over the next few months, IO and Lakeridge Health will evaluate the submissions, with the goal of announcing a successful proponent in the fall.

The expansion to the Bowmanville Hospital will more than double the size of the current hospital. It will expand critical care services and introduce modern, patient-centred facilities including private rooms, ambulatory care clinics and a haemodialysis centre.
