Building construction investment levels increased again in December, across the fourth quarter of the year, and for 2021 as a whole.

Recent research shows that green buildings can also improve the health and productivity of those who live or work inside them. In some cases, green buildings can have the same benefits as spending time in nature, which can benefit people living in cold climates.

A combined investment of $18 million from the governments supported the replacement of the bridge, and provided jobs and training opportunities for members of the Nipissing First Nation.

There were 262 projects with a total of 35,325 rooms under construction across the country at the end of December. The volume of projects is down 3 percent compared to the fourth quarter of 2021, and the volume of rooms is up 2 percent.

Three shortlisted teams are being asked to submit detailed plans for how they will design and build stations and emergency exit buildings, fit the tunnel with track and signals, and install and commission the systems required for operations.
