The Liberals’ first step toward new train service could be a springboard for a train-centric sustainable post-pandemic transportation network.

One in three opioid-related deaths among employed people in Ontario in 2020 was in the construction sector. With opioid use increasing yearly, and drugs thousands of times stronger than they were even 10 years ago, lives can be saved with the inclusion of free, easy-to-use naloxone nasal spray kits on jobsites.

The Geo falls in line with Kingston’s 2019 climate change emergency declaration. The project uses geothermal energy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 70 percent.

The funding from the province will be used to help cover working funds deficits, and to address critical upgrades, repairs and maintenance at Niagara Health and Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre.

The bursary is being provided through Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures program, and provides funding for First Nation, Inuit and Metis students enrolled in full and part time studies in college, university, skilled trades, apprenticeship, and technology programs.
