Chris Campbell, who has served with the union’s Toronto local since 2003, assumes the role.

The facility will be built to the LEED standard, and is backed by more than $46 million in funding from the federal government, the province and the Town of Milton.

The project will result in approximately 622,000 square feet of new construction and restored heritage buildings. It is being delivered as a P3 that will be managed by Infrastructure Ontario.

The national housing agency says the seasonally adjusted annual rate of housing starts rose to 214,875 units last month compared with 208,715 in September. 

A revamp of its problematic design would position the bank to more effectively carry out its mandate to mobilize private financing for infrastructure.
