The money is payable in the form of a mortgage to the City of Ottawa, and will be used to fund construction of nearly 700 residential units just west of the downtown core.

The technology hub will be Gigamon’s fourth, supplementing operations in Santa Clara, California; Seattle, Washington; and Chennai, India.

The federal government has opened the process of prequalifying designers and contractors for the $1-billion renovation to the Supreme Court of Canada building in Ottawa. Construction is expected to begin in 2023.
