The union’s 1,900 Local 88 members voted online Sunday on a tentative deal with the automaker to transform GM’s CAMI plant in Ingersoll, Ont., into a hub for producing electric commercial delivery vans.

The calculation, which was announced on January 11, draws on data in 443 of Ontario’s 444 municipal asset-management plans.

All five are isolating. The Thunder Bay District Health Unit is working with Valard Construction to assess the exposure risk to other workers, and identifying and following up on any contacts outside of the site.

The growth forecasts of 5.3 percent this year and 3.5 percent next follow an estimated economic contraction of 5.3 percent in 2020. The strength of that recovery, however, depends on the successful distribution of COVID-19 vaccines.

Despite the drop, CMHC says the six−month moving average of the monthly seasonally adjusted annual rates of housing starts climbed to 239,052 units for the final month of 2020, up from 236,334 in November.
