Construction employment withstands COVID’s third wave
Data from Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey (LFS) for April shows that sectoral employment rose for the third consecutive month. The industry added 30,700 workers (+2%) for the month, although employment remains about 21,000 workers below pre-pandemic levels recorded in April 2019.
CIQS, CCA sign reciprocity agreement
The agreement allows CEC and PQS designates to automatically be accepted into the Gold Seal program—some without sitting the Gold Seal exam. Meanwhile, Gold Seal certified estimators can immediately earn their CEC designations.
Thousands to receive COVID-19 vaccine at clinic run by construction company
