The Construction Design Alliance of Ontario says it is concerned about the economic and labour impacts of the government’s decision to cancel two major Hamilton construction projects in a span of six months.

Three major residential construction associations have recommended 20 measures Ontario can take to reboot the province’s economy.

The funding will be used to stimulate investment of up to $500 million to close gaps in cellular and broadband service in rural and remote communities.

The RFQs for the rolling stock, systems and operations, and for southern civil work, stations and tunnels are now available. A third, for the northern civil, stations and tunnel contract, is expected to be issued in 2022.
