Hotel construction records strong start to 2020
A new report by Lodging Econometrics shows hotel construction off to a record-setting start to 2020. Less certain is how the COVID-19 pandemic will affect figures in Q2.
CIBC poll: 1 in 3 small businesses worried about viability

Building permit values drop, but not as much as feared
Although permit values dropped by more than 13 percent in March, that figure was significantly lower than the more than 20 percent forecasted by Statistics Canada a month ago.
Windsor records $32 million worth of permits in April
The City of Windsor reported a slight gain in construction activity as measured by the combined value of building permits issued in the city in April. One permit, worth $12.5 million, led the way.
