Stelco Holdings Inc. capped its most successful year by swinging to a $513-million profit in the fourth quarter on a near tripling of revenues due to soaring prices.

RESCON is calling for the federal government to allow more workers with skilled trades backgrounds to immigrate to Canada, to speed-up the harmonization of building codes, and to renew funding for municipal infrastructure projects.

The association will use the funding to develop and deliver mental health training and resources for mining and forestry workers in northern Ontario.

Funding from the province will support Valbruna ASW and Quick Plug CA as they expand their respective facilities.

The build is expected to last 30 months, with a completion date in the summer of fall of 2025. While the performance venue and hotel are one construction project, the two are separate entities in terms of ownership.
