The Liberal government will try to ease Canada’s housing crisis with more than $10 billion in funding meant to speed up home construction and repairs as well as a ban on home buying by foreign investors.

The ModernTO plan will condense 55 city office locations to 15, and repurpose the vacant sites into affordable housing units and other facilities that support municipal priorities.
